Who runs this site

1. What I collect directly
Very little. There are no accounts, no logins and no newsletter sign-up on this site.
- Comments โ if you leave one, WordPress stores the name, email address and comment text you submit, along with your IP address and browser user agent, so that spam can be filtered. Comment data stays until you ask me to remove it.
- Email โ if you write to me, your message sits in my mailbox like any other email. I use it to reply to you and nothing else.
I do not sell, rent or trade any of this.
2. What third parties collect
This is the part that matters, and the part most privacy pages skip.
- Google AdSense displays the ads on this site. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google Analytics measures traffic โ pages viewed, rough location, device and browser. It is used in aggregate; I never try to identify individual readers.
- Embedded content โ YouTube, Instagram and similar embeds behave exactly as if you visited those sites directly, and are covered by their own policies.
These services set their own cookies. I do not control them and I do not receive the raw data behind them.
3. Your choices
- Turn off personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. You will still see ads; they will just be less targeted.
- Opt out of third-party ad cookies more broadly at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices (EU).
- Block cookies entirely in your browser settings. Nothing on this site breaks if you do.
- Ask me to delete anything you have sent โ email me and it is gone.
4. Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. Clicking one may pass a referral identifier to the merchant so a commission can be attributed. It never changes the price you pay. Details are in the Affiliate Disclosure.
5. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
6. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
